本学理工学研究科の横断型コース「防災リスク管理コース」の教員が中心となり編集、執筆した「都市防災がわかる本」（彰国社）が発刊されました。
本書は、建築、土木の専門家が工学、計画の分野の垣根を越えて、都市災害の全体像を把握するための第一歩として、工学分野を横断し、総合的、学際的にまとめたものです。
建築、土木にかかわる学生のみなさんにとってはもちろんのこと、これからの都市防災を学ぼうとする建築、土木系以外の学生やこれから大学で防災を学ぼうと考えているみなさんにとっても、都市防災を学ぶ際の入門書として活用できる内容となっています。

A Book to Understand Urban Disaster Prevention was launched by Shokoku-sha on September 30th,2022. This book was edited and written mainly by the faculty of Disaster Prevention and Risk Management Course of the Graduate School of Science and Engineering. This book can act as the first step for professionals in architecture and civil engineering to cross the boundaries of engineering and urban planning, getting an overall picture of urban disasters from a comprehensive, inter-disciplinary and cross-disciplinary view.
This book can be used as an introductory guide to urban disaster prevention not only for students involved in architecture and civil engineering or not, but also for those who are thinking of studying disaster prevention at university.
