大宮研究室では、建築物の火災安全性に関する基準の性能規定化の一助となる研究を進めています。
野田キャンパスには、大規模な火災実験が可能な火災科学研究センター実験棟があり、火災拡大性状の把握のために、実際に火をつけて実験を行っています。群集流動、避難安全に関わる実験や調査等、様々な活動を通じて建築防災技術の発展に努めています。

Welcome to Ohmiya Lab!!
Ohmiya lab carries out research on the development of performance standards for building disaster safety. Here at Noda Campus we are able to carry out large-scale tests and experiments at our Research Center for Fire Safety Science which helps us to understand the nature of fire spread. We are also actively researching issues such as crowd flows and evacuation safety to help develop technologies to improve buiding safety.
