「風土と暮らす家」をテーマに開催された第51回セントラル硝子国際建築設計競技は、2016年10月22日に東京国際フォーラムにて公開２次審査が行われました。応募作品の総数は188作品（国内：101作品、海外：87作品）。１次審査の結果、7点が公開２次審査に進み、10点が佳作として選定されました。海外４組を含む７組によるプレゼンテーションと質疑応答、審査員の議論を経て、最優秀賞１作品、優秀賞2作品、入選4作品が決定しました。
中村俊介さん、河鰭公晃さんが入選となりました。
『有明海の干満差とそれによって営まれている独自の海苔養殖に着目し、食住一体の建築を海上に建てることで生業と生活の結節点となる場を設計しました。産業がパブリック性を持つことで地域に開かれ、新たな風土を創造する未来を描きました。』 ー 中村駿介

51st Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition – Honourable Mention
Yasuhara Lab’s Shunsuke Nakamura and Kinteru Kawabata have received an Honourable Mention for their entry ‘Living With the Tide’ for the 51st Central Glass International Architectural Design Competition.
The judging was held at the Tokyo International Forum on the 22 October. There were 188 entries to this year’s competition including 87 from overseas. Proposals receiving 7 points from the first round of judging were able to advance to the second round. Seven proposals were presented in the second round from which one First Place, two Second Place and 4 Honourable Mention Prizes were awarded.
“Focussing on the unique nori aquaculture that arises from the tides of the Ariake Sea, this design proposes an architecture that allows people to live on the sea creating a place to combine living and working. The publicness of the production process opens up the area allowing a future with a new breeze to be drawn.” – Shunsuke Nakamura
The work will be published in the December issue of Shin-Kenchiku and JA 104 (Winter).
